Companies must comply with various requirements of applicable local legislation, international law and effective transnational laws, e.g. ensure anticorruption compliance, personal data compliance, antitrust and competition compliance, HR compliance, as well as financial compliance aimed at prevention of money laundering, financial misconduct and fraud or regulatory compliance related to certain products launched on the market.

Further, various stakeholder groups across a broad spectrum are demanding that companies not only comply with applicable laws, but also operate in a responsible and sustainable manner that makes a positive contribution to society and encompasses the entire supply chain.

The implementation of so-called ESG (environmental, social and governance) measures and transparent reporting on them are no longer a “nice-to-have”.

Our team comprises of lawyers who have deep experience both as inhouse counsels and as attorneys-at-law specializing in Compliance and ESG and who are able to support your company to find and address risks and opportunities in the most impactful way. Compliance

We provide comprehensive legal and compliance support and work with you to develop a company Code of conduct and specific company compliance policies relevant to your industry (e.g. anticorruption policy, commercial policy, distribution policy, advertising & marketing policy, dawn raid policy, cyber-security policy, internal investigations policy, etc.).

We support you in the creation of compliance campaigns, develop and conduct compliance trainings for employees, managers and business partners. We also offer to carry out a risk analysis for potential compliance violations that could specifically affect your company and work with you to define suitable preventive measures.

Would you like to review the compliance of existing and potential business partners? We carry out due diligence on potential business partners for you and are happy to draw up contractual obligations that oblige your business partners to comply with the applicable legal regulations. We also offer you support in carrying out compliance audits (of the company’s business processes and existing business partners).

We can also support you in setting up and implementing a whistleblower hotline, develop whistleblower and investigation guidelines with you and conduct internal investigations for you.

Data Protection

In the area of data protection, we support you in everything that is required by the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Data Protection regulations. In particular, we support you in drafting internal company data protection guidelines, privacy notices and declarations of consent.

Do you need general terms and conditions for websites, cookie regulations or data protection clauses for your contracts? We would be happy to work with you to draw up the desired regulations and contracts.

Our team further provides legal support in establishing a company data privacy goverance structure, establishing a company privacy register and provides advice in defining data privacy processes, including but not limited to handling data subject requests.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

We provide you with comprehensive advice on how you can address various sustainability issues, also known as ESG (environmental, social and governance) or CSR (corporate social responsibility) issues, including the definition of the most important sustainability issues for your company, taking into account the expectations of internal and external stakeholders. We are also happy to support you in defining a governance structure and responsibilities for your sustainability management.

Would you like an external assessment of your sustainability targets based on recognised sustainability standards or advice on how to measure and record them? We are here to advise you and support you in the following areas – carrying out assessments of sustainability risks and opportunities as well as materiality analyses.
